Happy Memorial Day!!
This next week Surfrider will be meeting with the Lick-Wilmerding High School located in Balboa Park in San Francisco. In Mr. Don Rizzi's classroom there will be a presentation on Surfrider Foundation in general, the different committee's that Surfrider entails as well as what they can do to help out the environment and be a good influence on their local beaches!

This blog was created by the San Francisco, CA chapter of the Surfrider Foundation to share our stories about the Education Program.
We speak to primary schools in the San Francisco Bay Area about pollution from plastics and other human activity, and what can be done to keep our waters and beaches healthy. The talks are currently done with the help of our volunteers and of our Nationals videos and current educational material.
We hope to participate in schools on a regular basis and will post updates on programs coming up in the area.
We are updating the educational curriculum to be a bit more marine ecology focused. Here we will update the Marine Biology section of the curriculum while it is being created. Please check back for updates!
